There’s been a bit of an uproar lately with all the new buzzwords in baking that have become popular lately. From “baking with a cast iron pan” to “baking in the microwave,” the words and phrases have expanded and grown over the years in our society. From what I can tell, they are really just meant to make life easier for the busy busybodies out there.

We don’t have any real idea what these things are, but there is a lot of talk about the importance of names and pictures used in baking. I don’t know if this is the case in your home, but some people are more likely to use names in a recipe than the picture on the box. I can’t say I’ve seen it, but I’ve been told that some people prefer to read the recipe first, then look at the pictures, and so on.

I hear lots of different reasons for this, but the main reason is that people use names as a shortcut to a recipe. I have only recently come across several people who I assume have no clue what they are. I have also heard stories about people who use names for a reason that doesn’t make sense.

You can use a list of names to figure it out. And sometimes, if you read the recipe and take an inventory, you can see the pictures to make your own conclusion. Thats how I went into the food processor, and I ended up with a perfectly fine, delicious, and ready-to-eat lasagna.
