I am an unabashed fan of pound cake. It’s a simple but delicious treat that’s always available on my counter. But what about after you’ve made it? Pound cake is a great way to use leftovers. It is not a food that you cook regularly. In fact, most people I know eat a lot of it. So making it is super easy. All you really need to do is get some cream cheese and some eggs, beat them together until fluffy, and then pour in some milk and some sugar. It is probably the easiest thing on the face of this planet to make.
You could also make an ice cream sandwich, but it’s much easier and less messy than making a pound cake.

In my opinion, they should be more like a traditional English muffin, with the addition of whipped cream, some jam, and maybe a few more ingredients. I’m sure that the cake’s texture would be much better, but I’m not sure this is worth the effort.
I would like to see poundcake recipes that are a little more complex. They should be able to stand alone as a snack, along with tea, coffee, or a soda.
