  • 0.5 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Divide batter in half. Leave one half plain. To the other half, add 2 tablespoons cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons hot water. Mix well.
  • Spoon alternating dollops of plain and chocolate batter into the prepared bundt pan. Swirl gently with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
