apple pancakes

Fluffy apple pancakes, perfect for a weekend brunch. Sweet and slightly tart apples are mixed into a classic pancake batter for a delicious twist.

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup diced apples

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Gently fold in the diced apples.
  • Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a sweeter pancake, add 1/4 cup more sugar. You can also add cinnamon or other spices to the batter.
