Apple Thyme Jam

A delightful homemade jam with the sweet taste of apples and a hint of savory thyme.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Apples, peeled and diced Use a variety like Gala or Honeycrisp
  • 1.5 cups Sugar Granulated
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Thyme Leaves Chopped

Preparation Steps

  • In a large saucepan, combine the diced apples, sugar, and water.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the apples are softened and the mixture has thickened.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and thyme leaves. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let the jam cool slightly. Transfer to sterilized jars.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
