  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • 1 cup beer for batter
  • 8 pieces corn tortillas warmed
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 0.5 cup sour cream for serving
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, salt, cayenne pepper, and gradually add beer until smooth.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat for frying.
  • Dip fish strips into batter, coating evenly, then fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • Assemble tacos with fish, cabbage, a dollop of sour cream, and a squeeze of lime juice in warm tortillas.
