Ingredients
- 8 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 7 tablespoons butter cut into pats
Instructions
Grease an 8-by-8-inch baking dish.
Heat the oven to 350°F.
Peel, core, and slice the apples.
Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch in a large bowl.
Add the apples and toss until evenly coated.
Transfer the apples to the prepared dish and top with butter pats.
Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes, until the apples are tender.
