Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and rub it evenly over both sides.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken, coating both sides evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove from the oven, cover loosely with foil, and let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Letting the chicken rest before slicing is crucial to keep the juices inside the meat.
