Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and rub it evenly over both sides.
Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the chicken, coating both sides evenly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove from the oven, cover loosely with foil, and let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Letting the chicken rest before slicing is crucial to keep the juices inside the meat.
