Prep : 10 Total : 25 minutes

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 2 carrots thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup low sodium beef broth
  • 0.33 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch to make the stir fry sauce. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Add the broccoli, carrots, bell pepper, and snow peas. Stir fry for 4 to 5 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  • Whisk the stir fry sauce again to recombine, then pour it into the skillet with the vegetables. Return the cooked beef to the pan.
  • Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened and coats the beef and vegetables evenly. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

For best results, make sure your wok or skillet is very hot before adding the beef to get a good sear.
