  • 0.5 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 4 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.
  • Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, or until thickened.
  • Stir in the salt and pepper. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add the macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to coat. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
