Prep : 10 Total : 25 minutes

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup olive oil
  • 0.25 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
  • Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  • Cook the chicken for 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Always discard any leftover marinade that has come into contact with raw meat to prevent foodborne illness. Do not reuse it as a sauce unless it is boiled first.
