  • 0.5 cup Chopped onion

  • 4 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 3 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 8 oz Spaghetti cooked according to package directions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook until sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to coat.
  • Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

For a richer flavor, try using cream of mushroom soup instead of chicken broth and heavy cream.
