  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter Cold and cubed
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.75 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Fresh blueberries

Crumb Topping

  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.33 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup Unsalted butter Cold and cubed

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch square baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Add to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the blueberries.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine topping ingredients and crumble over the batter.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan before serving.

Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!
