Braised Beef Short Ribs

  • 3 lbs Beef short ribs
  • 1 large Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Red wine
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Season short ribs with salt and pepper.
  • Sear short ribs in olive oil until browned on all sides.
  • Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
  • Pour in red wine and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  • Transfer to a 325°F (160°C) oven and braise for 3 hours, or until tender.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes or your favorite sides.
