Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Beat until well combined.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool slightly.
Use the end of a wooden spoon or a fork to poke holes all over the cake.
In a bowl, mix together sweetened condensed milk, caramel sauce, and vanilla extract.
Pour the praline mixture over the cake, making sure to fill all the holes.
Let the cake cool completely.
Frost the cake with Cool Whip topping.
Sprinkle with toasted pecan halves and drizzle with caramel sauce.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use brown butter in the cake batter. You can also add a splash of bourbon to the praline filling.
