Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
In a bowl, mix together the flour, ginger, and cinnamon.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar together until smooth. Add the egg and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the caramel bits, then spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool before cutting into bars.
