Caramel Pecan Cinnamon Rolls

Delicious caramel pecan cinnamon rolls with a gooey caramel center and crunchy pecans. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat!

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2.25 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add salt, flour, and brown sugar. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Punch down the dough and roll it out to a 12x18 inch rectangle.
  • Spread the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle with pecans.
  • Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the long side. Cut into 12 slices.
  • Place the rolls in the prepared pan. Cover and let rise for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve warm.

Notes

These cinnamon rolls are best served fresh from the oven. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
