Carne Asada Bowls

Delicious and easy Carne Asada Bowls perfect for a quick and healthy meal.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb Skirt Steak Thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Extra virgin
  • 1 each Lime Juiced
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Cumin
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper

Bowl Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked Rice Brown or white
  • 1 can Black Beans Drained and rinsed
  • 1 each Avocado Sliced
  • 0.5 cup Salsa Your favorite kind
  • 0.25 cup Cilantro Chopped

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Place skirt steak in a resealable bag and pour marinade over it. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Grill or pan-fry the steak for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  • Assemble the bowls by layering rice, black beans, sliced steak, avocado, salsa, and cilantro.

Notes

Feel free to add other toppings like sour cream, cheese, or corn.
