Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream and milk over medium heat until just beginning to simmer.
Add chai tea bags to the mixture and steep for 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and squeeze out the liquid.
Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract.
Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until cold.
Pour the cold mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For an extra spice kick, consider adding a pinch of ground cinnamon or cardamom to the mixture.
