Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add softened butter and mix until crumbly. Add eggs, milk, vanilla extract and limeade, and mix until just combined.
Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry on top for a festive look!
