Chocolate Mug Cake

A deliciously moist chocolate cake that comes together from start to finish in under 10 minutes.

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 cup whole or 2% milk
  • 4 teaspoons neutral oil 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Whisk the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder together in a large microwave-safe mug until no clumps remain.
  • Whisk in the milk, oil, and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
  • Top with chocolate chips.
  • Microwave for 2 minutes. The cake should be risen and no longer look wet on top.
