Ingredients
  

Crust

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 Butter, cold and cubed

Topping

  • 14 oz Caramels, unwrapped
  • 0.33 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Pecans, chopped
  • 12 oz Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and butter. Press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  • In a saucepan, melt caramels with heavy cream over low heat, stirring constantly.
  • Pour caramel mixture over the crust and sprinkle with pecans.
  • Melt chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double boiler. Spread over the caramel layer.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

For easier cutting, chill the bars for a couple of hours before slicing. You can also use different types of nuts or chocolate to customize the recipe to your liking.
