  • 1 cup Water
  • 0.25 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 quart Vegetable Oil For frying
  • 0.5 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the flour until a smooth dough forms.
  • Let the dough cool for a few minutes, then beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Be sure not to overcrowd the pan
  • Remove the churros poppers with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Toss the warm churros poppers in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm with chocolate dipping sauce or caramel for an extra treat!
