Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large pot, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp.
Add onions and cook until soft.
Stir in potatoes and add enough water to cover. Simmer until potatoes are tender.
Add clams and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes
For a thicker chowder, mash some of the potatoes against the side of the pot.
