  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2.25 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar for coating

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the cocoa powder and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until set. Let cool slightly on baking sheets before rolling in powdered sugar. Cool completely on wire racks.
  • Roll cooled cookies in powdered sugar again before serving for a thicker coating.
