  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons instant coffee dissolved in 2 tablespoons of hot water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Stir in the instant coffee mixture and continue heating until just about to simmer. Remove from heat.
  • Add vanilla extract and stir well. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for at least 4 hours or overnight until completely chilled.
  • Process the chilled mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for an additional 2 hours or until firm.

Notes

You can adjust the coffee strength by adding more or less instant coffee as desired.
