Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the mashed bananas.
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add 0.5 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
