A rich and creamy chicken pasta dish that's perfect for a weeknight meal. Tender chicken and al dente pasta coated in a luscious, savory sauce.

  • 0.5 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.25 pound spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Preparation Steps

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  • Add chopped onion to the same skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  • Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

This dish can be easily customized with your favorite vegetables, such as spinach or mushrooms.
