Dill pickle grilled cheese

A delightful twist on a classic comfort food, this dill pickle grilled cheese offers a tangy and savory flavor explosion. Perfect for a quick lunch or a fun snack!

  • 4 slices Bread Sourdough or your favorite white bread
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Softened
  • 2 cups Cheese Shredded cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend
  • 0.5 cup Dill pickles Thinly sliced

Preparation Steps

  • Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Layer half of the cheese on top of each slice of bread in the skillet.
  • Arrange the dill pickle slices evenly over the cheese.
  • Top with the remaining cheese.
  • Place the remaining two slices of bread on top, butter-side up.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  • Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a thin layer of dill mustard to the bread before buttering. You can also experiment with different types of cheese like provolone or Swiss.
