  • 1.5 cups pumpkin puree fresh or canned
  • 0.75 cup dulce de leche store-bought or homemade
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 piece pie crust 9-inch, unbaked

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, dulce de leche, eggs, and sugar until smooth.
  • Add ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and heavy cream to the mixture and stir well.
  • Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the filling is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a creative twist, serve the pie topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of additional dulce de leche.
