  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups Easter-themed sprinkles or candy melts for decorating

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. The centers should still look soft.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, decorate the cookies with Easter-themed sprinkles or melted candy melts as desired.
