In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, imitation crab meat, green onions, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the crab mixture in the center of the wrapper.
Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal tightly. You can also pinch the edges to create a decorative shape.
Repeat steps 2-3 with the remaining wonton wrappers and crab mixture.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Carefully place the crab rangoon in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the crab rangoon from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve immediately and enjoy!
