Easy Tzatziki Sauce

A quick and refreshing classic Greek yogurt dip, perfect with pita bread or as a vegetable dip.

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt full-fat
  • 0.5 English cucumber cucumber peeled, seeded, and finely grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, and lemon juice.
  • Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir again.
  • For best flavor, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

Serve chilled as a dip with pita bread, vegetables, or as a topping for grilled meats and falafel.
