Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken is an easy skillet dinner recipe made with simple ingredients on your stovetop that will be a family favorite!

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 5 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup water

Preparation Steps

  • Add the vegetable oil to your skillet on medium high heat with your chicken.
  • Sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes then flip and cook an additional 5 minutes, then add in the garlic, salt, pepper, brown sugar and water and stir to combine.
  • Lower the temperature to medium low and let cook until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Spoon the sauce over the chicken to serve.

Notes

Serve warm over rice or with your favorite roasted vegetables.
