  • 1.5 lbs ground beef Use lean beef for best results
  • 0.5 cups breadcrumbs Use plain breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cups ketchup For the glaze

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, and half the ketchup.
  • Shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  • Spread remaining ketchup over the top for the glaze.
  • Bake for 60 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink in the center.

Notes

Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
