gluten-free french bread

  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour blend
  • 0.5 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Store leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
