Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
Store leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
