Grilled Moroccan Chicken

Delicious and flavorful grilled chicken marinated in Moroccan spices. Perfect for a summer BBQ!

  • 1.5 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 0.25 cup Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Ginger, ground
  • 0.25 tsp Turmeric
  • 0.25 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 0.25 tsp Cayenne pepper Optional, for heat
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
  • Add chicken to the bowl and toss to coat well. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley, if desired.

Notes

Serve with couscous or rice and a side salad for a complete meal.
