  • 1 lb Ground beef Lean ground beef recommended
  • 1 cup Cooked white rice
  • 0.25 cup Teriyaki sauce Low sodium preferred
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Ginger Grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced garlic
  • 0.5 tsp Sesame oil
  • 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes Optional
  • 1 Green onions Sliced, for garnish
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds For garnish

Preparation Steps

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  • Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  • Serve the ground beef mixture over cooked rice. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
