Hawaiian Macaroni Salad Recipe

This Hawaiian Macaroni Salad is a delicious and easy dish that pairs well with any BBQ or meal.

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni cooked and drained
  • 1 cup mayonnaise preferably full-fat
  • 0.5 cup milk can be whole or 2%
  • 1.5 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup carrots grated
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  • 0.75 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Preparation Steps

  • Cook the elbow macaroni according to package directions, then drain and set aside to cool.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, milk, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
  • Add the cooked macaroni, grated carrots, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

This macaroni salad is best served chilled. Adjust the seasoning as needed before serving.
