  • 2 carrots carrots peeled and chopped
  • 2 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 large onion quartered
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 2 pieces bay leaves

Preparation Steps

  • Place chicken bones in a large pot.
  • Add carrots, celery, onion, water, garlic, peppercorns, and bay leaves.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  • Simmer for 4 hours, skimming off any foam.
  • Strain the stock through a fine-mesh sieve.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
