Preparation Steps
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
Add water and stir until the mixture is smooth.
Heat the mixture over medium heat until it begins to boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow to cool before serving.

This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
