Homemade Waffles

Fluffy and golden homemade waffles that are perfect for breakfast or brunch. Easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Pour about 1/2 cup of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crisp.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.

Notes

These waffles can be kept warm in a single layer on a baking sheet in a low oven (around 200°F or 95°C) while you cook the rest.
