In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon, reserving bacon grease in the skillet.
Add onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
Add green beans, chicken broth, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until green beans are tender.
Stir in cooked bacon. Serve hot.
