Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar Plus more for dusting
  • 0.25 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Peppermint Extract
  • 12 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine the powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract. Mix until a dough forms.
  • Dust a clean surface with powdered sugar. Roll the dough out to about 0.25 inch thickness.
  • Use a small cookie cutter (about 1.5 inches) to cut out patties. Place the patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Dip each patty into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Place the dipped patties back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate the chocolate-covered patties for another 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
  • Enjoy your homemade peppermint patties! Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet. You can also add a pinch of salt to the chocolate mixture to enhance the sweetness.
