  • 1 box Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1.25 cup Eggnog
  • 0.33 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Large Eggs

Poke & Frosting

  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup Eggnog
  • 8 oz Whipped Topping
  • 0.5 tsp Nutmeg For garnish

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix, 1.25 cups eggnog, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat until well combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cake cool slightly. Use the end of a wooden spoon or a fork to poke holes all over the cake.
  • In a bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup eggnog. Pour mixture over the poked cake, making sure to saturate all the holes.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  • Before serving, spread whipped topping evenly over the cake and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Notes

For a boozier flavor, add a splash of rum or bourbon to the eggnog mixture before pouring it over the cake.
