  • 1 lb Ground Beef Lean ground beef recommended
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 8 oz Mushroom Sliced
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup Condensed
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 8 oz Egg Noodles Cooked according to package directions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and stir to combine.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
  • Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the sauce. You can also top the casserole with shredded cheese before baking.
