  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 lb Chicken Breast Cooked and shredded
  • 0.25 cup Rice Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 2 Green Onions Sliced
  • 1 Egg Beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ground White Pepper
  • 0.5 Red Chili Optional, for spice

Preparation Steps

  • In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
  • Add the cooked and shredded chicken to the broth.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar and soy sauce. Add to the pot.
  • In another small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Slowly pour into the soup while stirring to thicken.
  • Reduce heat to low. Slowly drizzle the beaten egg into the soup while stirring gently. The egg should cook into thin strands.
  • Stir in sesame oil and white pepper. Add chopped green onions.
  • If desired, add sliced red chili for extra spice. Simmer for 5 minutes, then serve hot.

Notes

Serve immediately and garnish with extra green onions if desired. For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth.
