  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour spoon and leveled
  • 0.5 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder dutch-processed
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 0.75 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 0.25 cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Caramel Bits
  • 0.5 cup Chocolate Chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla extract and egg.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in caramel bits and chocolate chips.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
