Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla extract and egg.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in caramel bits and chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
