  • 1.5 lb White Button Mushrooms Larger size, stems removed
  • 4 oz White Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • 0.25 cup Bread Crumbs Panko bread crumbs work well
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.125 tsp Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • Remove stems from mushrooms and set aside. Lightly brush mushroom caps with olive oil.
  • In a bowl, combine shredded white cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Spoon cheese mixture into each mushroom cap, packing lightly.
  • Place stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender and cheese is melted and golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best flavor. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
