Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a bowl, marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Set aside for 30 minutes.
Cook the soaked rice in boiling water until 70% cooked. Drain and set aside.
In a large pot, melt the ghee and add marinated chicken. Cook until the chicken is tender.
Layer half of the cooked rice on top of the chicken, sprinkle with fried onions, cilantro, and mint. Repeat with the remaining rice and herbs.
Cover the pot tightly and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes.
Notes
Serve hot with raita or a side salad for a complete meal.
